Company and Union Sign Contract Extension

What’s happening: Last week, Kroger Delta and UFCW Local1529 met in a small committee session to continue discussions on economics, with much of the conversation focused on healthcare.

What’s next: The parties are scheduled to continue negotiations during the first week of August with the full bargaining committee, which is made up of Kroger associates. 

Extension Agreement Signed: The company and the union have agreed to extend the current contract while bargaining continues.

Why a contract extension matters: An extension agreement keeps the current contract in place while negotiations continue. That means:

• Its business as usual in all Kroger Delta stores
• Associates will continue working their scheduled shifts
• Wages and working conditions remain the same
