Kroger Delta and UFCW Local 1529 met last week to continue contract negotiations for associates in the Memphis metro and Jackson, MS areas.
Where things stand: Since our last update, company and union representatives have continued meeting in smaller committee sessions to discuss non-economic proposals and contract language.
What’s next: The full bargaining committee is scheduled to meet on July 14 to discuss economic proposals, including wages, benefits and other compensation-related topics.
Why it matters: Bargaining is a process. Progress is typically made one issue at a time as both sides exchange proposals, ask questions and work through differences. Reaching a thoughtful agreement takes time.
Our focus: We remain committed to negotiating a fair and balanced agreement that supports associates, serves our customers and positions our business for long-term success.
We’ll keep you informed: We’ll continue providing updates as negotiations progress.
